WIP Wednesday

I'm slooooooooooowly making progress on my Mario Granny Square blanket. Slowly pecking away at it. Getting there!

Hope to finish him soon, work on some of the granny stripe blankets and start a Yoshi blanket for my other son :) This pesky day job is kinda slowing me down :)

WIP Wednesday

I finally picked back up this Mario blanket. I started it a year ago, and am finally picking it back up, as much as I now dislike Red Heart yarn, that's what I started it with.

This is what 142 granny squares looks like. Only blue and yellow is left. Hopefully I can actually finish it before winter....

as Mario says... "here we go!"

What's On the Hook?

What's on the hook lately?

I'm trying to decide what pattern to use for a blanket. I love both patterns, but cannot decide!

There is the sunburst granny pattern, which is larger, and more texturally fun.

and the Summer Garden pattern from the fabulous Lucy of Attic 24.
This one is smaller and quicker. I can't decide!

And I love this color scheme, so I'm working on a standard granny square baby blanket in the same colors :)

I'm continuing to work on granny stripe blankets and shawls, as well as the Washed Ashore afghan.

I hope you're creating something fun!!

What I Made.....

Lately...
I've been obsessed with the crochet and knitting as of late. It's going far faster, skill wise, than my sewing ever did. I'm still such a newbie, but I love it!

I've been busy making scarves for gifts (hope none of the recipients read this...if so, well, here ya go! LOL) for my boys teachers. I really like scarves. Simple, repetitive, rows. I do like hooking in the round (hee hee), but that requires a little more concentration than scarves. I can do a scarf and watch tv...awesomeness.

I also put together this little pillow for my newly acquired rocking chair :)

Have you created anything lately? Are you making handmade gifts this year?? Feel free to share!~~
